Fixed Term (2 years)
New Zealand Rugby has an exciting opportunity available. We are looking for an experienced Sport Development Leader to join our winning team to support the delivery of the Future of Rugby Clubs Review. The role, preferably based in either Auckland or Wellington, will enable NZR to deliver on its national leadership and connectivity role in supporting our Rugby Club network. This is initially a two-year project role that will work internally with NZR, with Provincial Unions, NZR contracted suppliers of Sport Development services, and the 450 circa Rugby Clubs that are critical to the delivery of our community game.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Proven Sport Development experience in a community space (preferably rugby)
- Strong understanding of the Rugby Community system
- Proven project management skills
- Positive communications and relationship skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- An ability to think locally but act nationally
