Lead the digital design experience for NZR and help bring the All Blacks and Black Ferns brands to life across digital channels!

 

 

At New Zealand Rugby (NZR), we connect millions of fans to the game they love through iconic teams including the All Blacks and Black Ferns, as well as our community game. 

 

 

We're looking for a talented Digital Design Lead to help shape and elevate our digital presence, creating engaging experiences that inspire fans and participants across Aotearoa and around the world.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Brand & Marketing team and lead the creation of compelling digital design across products (websites and apps), marketing campaigns (ticketing, social, email, e-commerce, partner content), and other digital platforms. You'll play a key role in ensuring our digital content is visually impactful, audience-focused, and aligned with our world-class brands.

 

 

 

About the role

You will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality digital assets and digital products that bring NZR’s stories to life. Working closely with Marketing, Communications, Partnerships, Technology, Content and other internal stakeholders, you'll take projects from concept through to execution, delivering engaging creative that connects with fans and drives performance.

 

You'll lead the design and implementation of digital marketing campaign assets, social media creative, email templates, and user experiences across NZR's digital platforms (websites, apps) as well as external partner platforms. You'll also champion a digital-first mindset, bringing expertise in emerging design trends and AI-powered creative tools to continuously enhance how we engage with our audiences.

 

This role offers the opportunity to influence how one of New Zealand's most recognised sporting organisations shows up in the digital world while helping shape the future of digital design within NZR.

 

 

 

About you


You're a creative and highly skilled digital designer with a passion for delivering exceptional digital experiences. You thrive in a collaborative environment, balancing creativity with strategic thinking, and can confidently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.

 

You'll bring:

•    At least 4 years' professional experience creating digital experiences within a design role
•    Strong proficiency across Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
•    Experience in product strategy and UX/UI design, including strong proficiency in Figma
•    Knowledge and practical application of AI technologies within a design environment
•    A strong understanding of digital channels, ticketing campaign lifecycles, social media platforms and evolving digital trends
•    Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
•    Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
•    Minimum 3 years’ professional experience within the sports industry and/or analogous industries

 

 

 

Employment Details

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The expected appointment salary range for this role is $99,000 - $115,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.

 

To be considered for this position you must be legally entitled to work in Aotearoa New Zealand and obtain a clear MOJ check.
