Management Accountant
Overview
New Zealand Rugby has an exciting opportunity available. We’re looking for a an experienced Management Accountant to join our team on a 5 month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support a range of strategic projects aimed at improving how we operate and strengthening our financial sustainability.
About the role
You’ll be at the heart of our strategic projects, working closely with others across the organisation to implement recommendations following a recent business review. This includes supporting the development of robust business cases, driving efficiency initiatives, and helping support our 2026 budgeting process.
You’ll provide financial insight, forecasting, and analysis to guide decision-making and ensure our investment and structure choices are grounded in sound financial thinking.
About you
You bring sharp analytical skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to turn numbers into insight and action. Ideally, you’ll have experience in management accounting, forecasting, and budgeting, along with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to provide clear advice. You have a knack for simplifying financial information and making it meaningful, and experience supporting change, transformation, or efficiency programmes would be a bonus. You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 3+ years post CA experience.
