Broadcaster Relations & Analytics Manager

This is your chance to help shape how New Zealand and the world see our game.

At New Zealand Rugby, the game is only as strong as the connection fans have with it, and for a lot of fans, that connection starts on screen. We're looking for a Broadcaster Relations & Analytics Manager to sit at the heart of that connection, working across our broadcast partnerships and the data that shapes them, based in Wellington or Auckland and reporting to the General Manager Content & Broadcast.

About the Role

You'll be the link between NZR and our domestic and international broadcast partners, leading partner reviews and planning sessions to keep our priorities front and centre. From there, you'll manage deliverables against contractual commitments and look for new ways to grow reach. Using audience data and market benchmarking, you'll shape reporting for rights negotiations, executive and board reporting, and the broader team's sponsorship and fan engagement work. You'll build and maintain the analytics framework and dashboards that track audience size, engagement and viewing behaviour across platforms, dig into viewing patterns and retention trends to uncover what's driving tune-in, and work with partners and production teams to keep improving the on-screen product for rugby audiences here and abroad.

About You

You'll bring at least five years' experience in broadcast, media, sports or entertainment analytics, with a track record managing commercial partnerships and turning complex data into clear, actionable insight. You're comfortable across Excel or Google Sheets, dashboarding tools, and ideally have some exposure to SQL and broadcast measurement platforms such as Nielsen or OzTAM. You know how to tell a story with data, not just present it, and you're just as confident briefing an exec team as you are managing a broadcast partner relationship. A genuine interest in rugby and the part broadcast plays in growing the game will help you thrive here - you'll be shaping how fans across Aotearoa and beyond experience the sport.
