Planning is now underway for the 2026 New Zealand Rugby Under 20 campaign.

 

New Zealand Rugby seeks applicants for the Team Manager to be available to help prepare the 2026 NZU20 Team to attend The Rugby Championship U20s in South Africa in April and May and the U20 Junior World Championship in Georgia in June and July 2026.

 

 

Campaign Dates (TBC)

- NZU20 Development week 13th – 22nd March

- TRC U20 17th April – 13th May

- Connection Camp June 1st – 3rd

- JWC U20 17th June – 20th July

 

 

Team Manager requirements

The Team Manager role is required to support and contribute to the preparation of the team to play in the TRC U20s and U20 JWC tournaments. Accountable to the Head Coach, the Team Manager’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the teams operational requirements are well planned and executed. On top of this the team manager will be responsible for creating a high performing environment and ensuring that the operational budget expectations are met.

 

 

Candidates must have recent Professional experience in New Zealand with a minimum of NPC rugby experience preferable.

 

 

Beyond discipline-specific expertise and experience, candidates should have good knowledge and understanding of high performance rugby team environments and possess outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. A strong empathy for the values which underpin New Zealand Rugby will need to be demonstrated, as will high levels of integrity, work ethic, passion, and competitive drive. Please note that this role is a part-time position and remuneration will be based around assembly with the team.
