At New Zealand Rugby, we connect millions of fans to the game they love through iconic teams including the All Blacks and Black Ferns. The Creative Director – Digital Content is a leadership role responsible for defining and delivering the creative vision that brings these world class brands to life across digital, social and long-form storytelling platforms.

 

This is a rare opportunity to shape the narrative of two of the most powerful teams in global sport and lead the stories through our digital content that inspire fans in Aotearoa and around the world.

 

 

About the role

You will lead the end-to-end creative development and production of short and long-form content across social, digital, documentary and selected commercial channels. You will lead the ideation and production of the narrative direction for the All Blacks and Black Ferns, ensure content aligns with brand strategy and performance moments, embed audience insights into creative decisions, oversee production budgets, and lead a team of Content Leads, videographers and Producers to deliver bold, high-quality storytelling at pace.

 

 


About you

You are an experienced creative leader with a strong background in sport, media or entertainment, and a portfolio that demonstrates excellence across multi-platform content. You combine creative instinct with data-led decision making, thrive in high performance environments, and are confident working with elite teams, commercial partners and internal stakeholders. You bring strong people leadership, commercial awareness and a passion for producing world-class content that builds fan engagement and delivers measurable outcomes.
