About The Role

 

 

Location: Wellington 
Full-time, Permanent 

 

 

An exciting opportunity for a clinical superstar with a nursing or physiotherapy background to join our small but mighty Medical team as a Medical Services Advisor.

 

 

In this role, working alongside the Head of Medical, you’ll:
•    Lead and coordinate match-day medical coverage, ensuring the right resources, equipment, and certified staff are in place.
•    Provide on-the-ground clinical support, including cardiac screening, concussion and baseline testing, and other player care as required.
•    Facilitate specialist referrals and ensure best-practice clinical care across teams and competitions.
•    Assist with the delivery and ongoing administration of NZR’s Clinical Governance Framework, including policies, audits, and player welfare initiatives.

 

 

We’re looking for someone with: 
•    Strong analytical capability, with clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.
•    The flexibility to travel (including at weekends) within New Zealand from time to time to support match-day operations, assist team medics with screening, and contribute to medical research projects.
•    Previous experience working in the field of injury prevention, injury management, injury surveillance and/or concussion management in athletes is beneficial
•    Allied Health qualification (nursing or physiotherapy) and current registration with the Nursing Council of NZ or Physiotherapy Board of NZ
•    Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
•    A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
